Applied AI Engineer

An innovative AI product team based in Stockholm are on the lookout for an Applied AI Engineer for their expanding team to work building out the AI workflows and integrations for their customers.

We’re looking for someone who can build real AI-powered workflows into production systems — not just prototype demos.

You should have a strong understanding of how modern LLM systems actually work in practice, including context engineering, tool calling, structured outputs, evaluations, failure modes and reliability. The right candidate will be someone who knows how to make AI dependable inside customer-facing products and internal operational tools.

You’ll work across the full lifecycle of AI systems: designing workflows, integrating models into existing infrastructure, improving response quality, building guardrails, monitoring performance, and ensuring outputs are accurate, scalable, and production-ready.

Responsibilities

• Build AI workflows that perform actual operational tasks
• Integrate AI into customer systems
• Use coding agents like Claude Code, Codex or Cursor in their workflow
• Build reliable systems, not just demos
• Work in ambiguity and shape the solution, not just wait for tickets
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in AI applied positions
• Great knowledge of designing and shipping LLM-powered features or workflows in production environments
• Experience working with coding agents in the development process
• Spent building production systems in TypeScript/Node.js
• On-site central Stockholm preferred, but up to 50% hybrid allowed
• Swedish Citizen of Settled status - This role does not offer sponsorship support

Salary range: 840k Swedish Krona (SEK) - 1.5m Swedish Krona (SEK), per year (dependent on experience)
