SQL Developer

Location: Romania and Poland

Role purpose

Provide hands-on SQL development and database design support for the Nucleus Self Service Project, primarily focused on the OFW and Workpaper Generator build. The role is not a traditional DBA role and is more aligned to an experienced SQL developer embedded within the project delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise SQL database structures to support Self-Serve capabilities.
• Write, review and optimise complex SQL queries (T‑SQL).
• Support ongoing refinements to database design as new requirements emerge.
• Resolve bugs and data-related issues to unblock core development.
• Work closely with the project team on day-to-day delivery activities.
• Contribute to Azure SQL–related activities within the platform design.
• Provide light-touch DBA support where required (e.g. data issues), but not core infrastructure management.
• Support transition from project delivery into BAU as the solution matures.

Required skills (essential)

• Strong experience in SQL database design.
• Experienced SQL developer (T‑SQL), able to work independently.
• Experience with Azure SQL / Azure infrastructure (SQL-related).
• Comfortable working hands-on within an agile project team.

Desirable skills (nice to have)

• ETL tooling experience, particularly Azure Data Factory.
• Experience working on data platforms supporting reporting or analytics use cases.
