About the Company

We are a growing international mining group with operations across Africa and a head office in Istanbul. Our business relies on strong financial discipline, efficient treasury management, and well-controlled banking processes to support cross-border operations and sustainable growth. To strengthen our Istanbul-based finance function, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager with strong exposure to banking and international finance operations.

Role Summary

The Assistant Finance Manager will support the management of the group’s treasury and banking activities, with a particular focus on banking operations, checks, letters of credit, bank guarantees, and international financial transactions. Based at our head office in Istanbul, this role will work closely with internal departments, banks, and overseas entities to ensure efficient execution of financial operations and compliance with internal procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong practical knowledge of international banking instruments and treasury processes, excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to work in a fast-paced multinational environment. French would be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day management of banking and treasury operations across the group
  • Oversee and follow up on check transactions, bank instructions, and daily cash movements
  • Coordinate and monitor letters of credit (L/C), bank guarantees, and other trade finance instruments
  • Manage relationships with local and international banks, ensuring timely communication and execution of financial transactions
  • Support the preparation and review of payment plans, cash position summaries, and short-term liquidity forecasts
  • Assist in the execution of international transfers, foreign currency transactions, and cross-border funding arrangements
  • Follow up on bank commissions, fees, account structures, and banking documentation, including KYC and compliance requirements
  • Support the management of intercompany funding, settlements, and related documentation
  • Assist in preparing treasury-related reports for management and ensuring the accuracy of records in ERP systems
  • Maintain proper documentation and support internal/external audits related to treasury and banking transactions
  • Work closely with Accounting, Tax, Procurement, and group finance teams to ensure smooth execution of finance operations
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in finance, treasury, or banking-related roles within large or multinational organizations
  • Strong practical experience in banking operations, check management, letters of credit, bank guarantees, and international payment processes
  • Good understanding of treasury operations, liquidity planning, and bank relationship management
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based corporate environment
