Senior Consulting Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Consulting Engineer / Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and migration of complex enterprise and datacenter networking solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, driving successful technology outcomes through deep expertise in Cisco networking technologies and strong customer engagement capabilities.

This role requires extensive hands-on experience in enterprise networking, datacenter technologies, software-defined networking solutions, and customer-facing consulting engagements. The candidate will collaborate closely with customers, internal engineering teams, partners, and sales teams to architect scalable, secure, and innovative network solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership:

• Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise and datacenter network solutions for customers.
• Lead customer engagements involving Cisco technologies and related networking solutions.
• Translate customer business and technical requirements into scalable and secure solution architectures.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycle including planning, deployment, migration, optimization, and operational support.
• Drive customer technology transitions and modernization initiatives.

Project Delivery & Execution:

• Lead execution of delivery projects and ensure successful implementation outcomes.
• Create, review, and approve technical deliverables including:
• High-Level Designs (HLD)
• Low-Level Designs (LLD)
• Implementation Plans
• Migration Plans
• Change Management Documents
• Technical Documentation
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex customer issues.
• Build and leverage lab/test environments to validate solutions and resolve compatibility issues.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement:

• Support pre-sales activities alongside account managers and sales teams.
• Participate in customer workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
• Provide strategic technical guidance and recommend best-fit solutions.
• Deliver customer knowledge transfer sessions and technical training.

Technical Innovation & Automation:

• Utilize automation tools, scripting, and software skills to improve deployment and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to reusable technical assets including:
• Automation scripts
• Templates
• Best practices
• Technical methodologies
• Share technical knowledge and improve delivery methodologies across the engineering practice.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:

• Collaborate with consulting engineers and cross-functional teams across multiple technology domains.
• Coordinate with Cisco account teams, partners, and external stakeholders.
• Support company policies, standards, and operational processes.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

• 15+ years of relevant experience in enterprise and datacenter networking.
• Proven experience in customer-facing consulting and solution architecture roles.
• Extensive experience with design, implementation, and migration of:
• Datacenter Networks
• Enterprise Routing & Switching
• Core Networking Infrastructure

• CCNP may be considered for exceptionally experienced candidates
