A global AI research and technology platform is seeking experienced engineers to help build and refine next-generation autonomous AI agents and large language model systems. This is a flexible freelance opportunity suited to backend engineers, AI automation specialists, and systems-focused developers working on complex workflow orchestration and real-world integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and optimisation of advanced AI agent workflows and automation systems
• Evaluate, debug, and improve AI-generated outputs and multi-step reasoning behaviour
• Build and maintain modular, production-grade software architectures
• Support live system integrations and complex orchestration workflows
• Provide detailed technical feedback to improve model performance, reliability, and safety

Ideal Experience

• 2+ years of experience in backend engineering, AI automation, systems integration, or software development
• Strong programming ability in at least two languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go, Java)
• Experience working with SQL databases and scalable application design
• Comfortable operating in live production environments with multi-step system interactions
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI agents, orchestration frameworks, or automated workflow systems
• Exposure to integrations with APIs and tools such as Supabase, Gmail, or similar services
• Familiarity with persistent memory/session tracking concepts
• Awareness of AI safety risks such as prompt injection, privilege escalation, or data leakage
