Data & AI Solutions Architect


About the role

Our client, is a boutique management and strategy consultancy working at the forefront of technology. They are experiencing extensive growth and are looking for highly motivated individuals to join their team, based on their West Coast US team (remote). The client advises Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies, aiding them in critical business objectives through providing tailored engagements and deep professional relationships. They offer business and digital strategy-related solutions across a variety of industries, as well as organisational change solutions. They have offices throughout the US, including the San Francisco Bay Area. The firm's coast-to-coast presence enables effective service of their clients, both global and local.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support client engagements by eliciting business requirements, identifying data needs, and assessing technical constraints to help shape practical data and AI solutions.
  • Assist in designing and implementing data and AI architectures, including the development of conceptual and logical data models.
  • Apply established standards, governance frameworks, and best practices to maintain data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the assessment, selection, and integration of data and AI tools and platforms under the guidance of senior architects.
  • Contribute to the design of data pipelines, integration patterns, and data flows across enterprise systems and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and cross-functional technical teams to deliver solutions aligned with architectural principles and standards.
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to validate solution designs prior to full-scale deployment.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts, such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Participate in code and architecture reviews to identify technical debt, address performance bottlenecks, and enhance system scalability and reliability.
  • Support modernization initiatives, including the migration of legacy applications and data systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Document data architectures, models, processes, and technical designs to promote consistency, maintainability, and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to support data governance, lifecycle management, and enterprise data management activities.


Qualifications and Expectations

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, software development, or similar technical roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and data integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with modern data ecosystems, is advantageous.
  • Exposure to data governance, data quality management, and security best practices is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data and analytics tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Excel, or equivalent technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to learn in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and work effectively within teams.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and proactive, with a hands-on and adaptable approach to work.
  • Ability to balance technical development with business priorities and client requirements.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and strong interpersonal capabilities.
