Junior AI Developer

A Junior AI Developer is required to join a growing ecommerce and manufacturing business based in Sussex. This is a hands-on role within a fast-moving environment where developers are encouraged to take ownership, solve real operational problems, and help shape product direction.

You’ll work closely with teams across production, marketing, operations, customer services, and digital to fully understand the business and the issues they face on a daily basis, and then you'll develop AI solutions that improve processes, efficiency and customer experience. The business is heavily investing in AI-assisted development, giving engineers the freedom to draft, pilot, refine, and deliver quickly, and you'll own the AI solutions end-to-end, from identifying the issues through to implementation.

Requirements:

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or similar, with the ability to deliver features end-to-end
• Commercial mindset with an interest in solving wider business challenges to improve efficiency
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders to understand issues and talk through ideas
• Proactive approach with the confidence to suggest improvements and challenge ideas
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Ideally you will have examples of automation projects, AI tooling, or internally built systems
• Graduates with relevant AI development project experience are also welcome to apply!

For this Junior AI Developer role, they are offering a salary of up to £40,000 plus benefits, and free parking. This role is hybrid working in their office in Brighton, which is flexible - as and when required depending on the projects.
