Required Technical Skill Set
Cloud (AWS), Java, Spring Boot, Splunk, Datadog, Solution Architecture, Microservice Architecture
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
- Experience in Solution/System architecture across different business areas
- Team player with experience leading and collaborating across-teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Proven experience in working with stakeholders at all levels across business and technology
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills
- Strategic business acumen with understanding of business strategies and ability to design technology to deliver that strategy
- Experience with Cloud technology, preferably AWS
- Extensive experience in enterprise scale solution delivery
- Enterprise Architecture Patterns such as Enterprise Application Integration, Service Oriented Architecture and Event Driven Architecture, microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, DevOps pipelines.
- Integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, ESB, event streaming, MQ).
- Prior hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, GitHub and Kafka
Good-to-Have
- Airlines, Travel, or Transport industry experience
- Experience with airline operational systems (one or more of these areas is highly regarded):
- Ground Operations (DCS, AODB, RMS)
- Inflight/Cabin systems (crew apps, catering, retail POS)
- IOC systems (flight planning, movement control, irregular operations management)
- Freight/Cargo systems
- Swift - native IOS app development
- Certifications in cloud (AWS), Architecture is advantageous
- Familiarity with modern toolsets (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Datadog, etc.)
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
- Responsible for developing end-to-end technology solution architectures
- Lead the development of project solutions and the navigation through architectural stage gates while taking ownership of project solutions ensuring they align with Enterprise strategies
- Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation of projects
