User Experience Researcher

• Day Rate: Up to $700 + Super
• Location: Pyrmont, Sydney (Hybrid)

About the Role

This market-leading global technology organisation are seeking an experienced UX Researcher to join a dynamic team focused on digital wellbeing and creativity tools for youth groups (ages 13–21). You’ll play a key role in shaping products that empower the next generation of users.

What You’ll Do

Lead and execute research across three major projects, including:

• Foundational research for new product development.
• Evaluating new UI designs and prototypes.
• Supporting ongoing product cycles.

• Design and conduct surveys, diary studies, and interviews.
• Develop research plans, analyze findings, and ensure insights inform product decisions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Manage participant recruitment, including minors, ensuring compliance and ethical standards.
• Support key stakeholders across varying stages of projects

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years’ experience in UX research, ideally in tech or product environments.
• Proven experience conducting research with minors and familiarity with child development or psychology. (Preferred).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Comfortable using Google Docs and Sheets; other tools can be learned on the job.
• Working With Children Check (WWCC) required post-hire.
• Bonus: Experience researching AI-driven products.
