Strategic Staffing Solutions International client is one of America’s Best Mid-Sized Companies (as recognized by Forbes), and a global manufacturer of circuit protection, power control, and sensing technologies serving the industrial, transportation, and electronics markets.
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll and Time & Attendance (T&A) data for Lithuania, while also supporting payroll operations across other European countries as needed.
The company office is located in Kaunas. The role offers a flexible working arrangement, combining remote work and office work. Working from the office in Kaunas once every two weeks would be acceptable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing & Compliance (40%)
- Prepare and process end-to-end monthly payroll for employees in Lithuania, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local legislation.
- Support payroll processing for other European countries in collaboration with internal teams and external payroll providers.
- Ensure correct calculation and payment of salaries, bonuses, deductions, taxes, and social security contributions.
- Manage year-end payroll activities, including statutory reporting, terminations, and off-cycle payments.
- Ensure timely submission and payment of payroll-related taxes and mandatory contributions.
2. Data Management & Systems (30%)
- Collect, validate, and maintain payroll-related data, including time, absences, compensation, and benefits.
- Maintain and verify payroll and T&A transactions in Workday and Employee Portal, ensuring accurate data flow to payroll systems.
- Prepare payroll accruals and standard payroll reports for Finance and management.
3. Employee & Stakeholder Support (20%)
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries and complex pay-related issues in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll data, documentation, and responses to audit inquiries accurately and on time.
4. Process Improvement & Projects (10%)
- Participate in payroll process optimization and system improvement initiatives.
- Support payroll-related projects, including system implementations, integrations, and standardization across Europe.
- Perform additional payroll administration tasks as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, HR, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related HR/payroll role.
- Experience with Lithuanian payroll and statutory requirements is required!
- Exposure to multi-country or European payroll environments is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and data accuracy.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with HR/payroll systems (e.g., Workday, Business Central) is an advantage.
- English: Professional working proficiency
- Lithuanian: Fluent (spoken and written)
The offered salary is up to 3100 Eur/Gross.
