About The Role

We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager – Core Betting Experience to lead the evolution and optimisation of our betting platform's core engine. This role is perfect for anyone with a passion for sports betting and a deep understanding of the technical complexities associated with high-performance, transactional platforms.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind defining the product roadmap and strategy for our betting platform, ensuring it remains scalable, highly performant, and delivers an exceptional user experience. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver innovative features that enhance customer engagement and drive business growth.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Defining and owning the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our betting platform, focusing on scalability, performance, and user experience.
• Leading the development and launch of new features and functionalities, including cashout enhancements, bet builder improvements, optimised bet placement and settlement workflows and risk management improvements.
• Utilise deep industry knowledge-whether from professional experience or personal passion-to inform product enhancements.
• Working closely with engineering and architecture teams to define technical requirements and ensure the platform can handle peak traffic and transaction volumes, while providing a great user experience and best-in-class betting features.
• Owning key performance indicators (KPIs) for the betting platform, analysing performance data, and identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth.
• Conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis, identifying opportunities and trends to inform product strategy and feature prioritisation.
• Deliver high-impact presentations, collaborate with stakeholders, and influence decision-making with data-backed insights.
  
  

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Essential skills:

• 3+ years of proven experience in the sports betting industry, or closely related fields, with a strong focus on building and scaling high-performance, transactional platforms.
• Deep understanding of what makes a great betting transaction platform, which supports best in class betting experience.
• Strong knowledge of core betting features and functionalities, such as cashout, bet builder, live betting, and diverse bet types.
• Strong product understanding and ability to effectively communicate with engineering teams.
• Data-driven mindset with experience using data to inform product decisions and measure success.
• Experience using product management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Productboard) for roadmapping, sprint planning, and tracking progress.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  
  

Nice to have skills:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end bet lifecycle, from placement through to settlement, ensuring seamless and accurate bet processing across the platform.
• Familiarity with sports trading operations, core risk management strategies, and the fundamental principles of bookmaking.
• Prior experience with running A/B tests/experimentation.
• Experience working within cross-functional teams.
• Experience building and using dashboards and data visualisation tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
