We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of medium-to-large IT and networking professional services projects for public sector customers in Hungary.

This is an individual contributor role, ideal for someone who can manage multiple projects independently, work confidently with senior stakeholders, and ensure delivery is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple medium-to-large customer projects
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource plans
• Act as the main point of contact for Hungarian-speaking customer stakeholders
• Lead regular status reporting, project governance, and stakeholder communication
• Track project financials, profitability, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Manage scope, change requests, contract amendments, and delivery adjustments
• Coordinate with technical delivery teams and third-party partners
• Ensure compliance with public sector governance, procurement, and regulatory requirements
• Identify risks and create mitigation plans aligned with contractual obligations
• Support continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and best practices
• Mentor junior project management team members when needed

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of project management experience in IT, networking, telecom, or a similar technical environment
• Experience managing medium-to-large projects with moderate to high complexity
• Strong experience with project planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder management
• Experience delivering projects remotely across multinational or regional teams
• Understanding of enterprise networking technologies such as routers, switches, security, and collaboration solutions
• Experience working with government or public sector customers is highly desirable
• Ability to manage several projects in parallel

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project delivery methodologies

• Strong risk, issue, scope, and change management skills
• Ability to translate technical project scope into clear business language
• High level of cultural awareness when working across Romanian and Hungarian business contexts

Language Requirements

• Professional fluency in Hungarian — written and spoken
• Professional fluency in English — written and spoken

Certifications

The following are highly desirable:

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification
• ITIL 4 Foundation
• CCNA or CCNP

Work Environment

You will join a distributed professional services delivery team supporting Hungarian public sector customers. The role is remote from Romania, with occasional travel to Hungary for customer meetings, governance sessions, and key project milestones.
