We provide one platform for every private markets workflow, helping fund managers, private banks, wealth managers and multi-family offices deploy private market strategies at scale. By combining technology, structuring and operational services, ROYC replaces fragmented tools and manual processes with structured workflows across the full lifecycle: from investor readiness and KYC to subscriptions, capital calls, reporting, and long-term servicing. What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience, shipping products users genuinely love
• Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated interactions and thoughtful user affordances required
• Ability to make smart trade-offs between speed and polish, knowing when to ship and when to refine
• Expertise in React/TypeScript and the broader frontend ecosystem
• Experience translating scrappy explorations into production-ready experiences
• Proficiency in Figma for design exploration and collaboration
• Strong product sense with an eye for detail, accessibility, and usability
  
  

What You'll Do

In summary: Serve as the connective layer between design and engineering on ROYC's investor platform — taking complex private markets workflows (KYC, subscriptions, capital calls, portfolio views, reporting) from Figma to production in React/TypeScript, owning the interaction patterns and design system that make these flows fast, clear, and reliable for fund managers and investors.

• Design and build world-class product experiences across onboarding, KYC flows, subscription journeys, portfolio views, and reporting
• Drive front-end execution — pioneering new interaction patterns, micro-animations, and delightful details that elevate the entire experience
• Implement features in React/TypeScript with obsessive attention to detail
• Collaborate with backend, design, and product teams to bring complex financial workflows to life in a seamless way
• Explore and iterate on visual designs with designers, translating explorations into scalable, web-native implementations
• Build, maintain, and evolve our React/Tailwind design system to enhance consistency while enabling creativity across the platform
• You'll be our first dedicated Design Engineer, working closely with our lead designer, product manager and reporting to the CTO. This is a role where you spend about 50% of your time in the codebase and 50% in Figma.
• Have real impact and ownership from day one — your work ships directly to fund managers and investors, and you'll have a meaningful voice in shaping the product, the design system, and how we work
