Position Overview
We are looking for a versatile and forward-thinking AI Software Engineer with strong proficiency in Python, Frontier LLMs, Context Engineering, and Core NLP techniques. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize cutting-edge AI and speech solutions tailored for our cloud contact center platform. You will work across the full data science lifecycle—from speech pipelines (ASR & Diarization) to advanced agentic workflows and backend API development. You’ll collaborate closely with our team to build scalable, low-latency, and intelligent systems that redefine the future of customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust context engineering solutions, including prompt design, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool calling, native structured outputs, and agentic workflows.
- Build and implement core speech pipelines, handling automated transcription, speaker diarization, word-level timestamps, turn-based chunking, NER, and noise suppression.
- Manage the full data science lifecycle, ensuring data quality, conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), benchmarking models, and setting up production monitoring.
- Develop lightweight, concurrent, and high-performance Python RESTful web services (FastAPI/Flask) to serve AI features.
- Implement semantic similarity operations using Vector Search systems and embedding distance metrics.
- Apply core NLP techniques such as text regularization, lemmatization, fuzzy logic, and sequence matching to refine textual data.
- Package and deploy applications using Docker, maintaining best practices for containerization within Unix/Linux environments.
- Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of AI architectures, pipeline schemas, and model evaluation strategies.
- Adhere to data privacy and security protocols, ensuring all AI implementations comply with organizational policies.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in AI engineering, Data Science, or a related technical function.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, core data structures, and SQL for querying complex relational schemas.
- Hands-on experience working with Frontier LLM Providers (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Practical comfort developing, navigating, and troubleshooting within Unix/Linux environments.
- Robust experience managing source code through version control systems (Git).
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with high-traffic infrastructures, event-driven distributed systems, and cloud ecosystems (e.g., GCP Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks with retry mechanisms).
- Exposure to optimizing or fine-tuning models locally or via open-source tools (HuggingFace, Unsloth for Whisper, or lightweight LLMs like Gemma).
- Experience with low-latency, real-time LLM features including streaming completions, WebSockets, and connectivity protocols like WebRTC.
- Baseline knowledge of statistical learning, traditional Machine Learning workflows, and core libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, etc.).
- Basic programmatic audio signal processing skills (Pydub, NumPy array signals).
- Ability to quickly spin up MVPs and Proof-of-Concept interfaces using Streamlit, Gradio, or front-end frameworks (JS/React).
- Experience building tailored ETL/ELT data workflows specifically for call center analytics or telephony operations.
