PHP/Laravel Developer

Candidates must be comfortable interviewing and working onsite 5x a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Take ownership of projects and make critical decisions when necessary.
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and associated services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends.
• Deploy updates and fixes, ensuring optimal functionality of websites without the need for extensive scalability.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Laravel developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js).
• Strong knowledge of PHP and the Laravel Framework.
• Ability to build APIs in Laravel to support headless front-end applications.
• Experience with database management systems (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS).
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience working in an agency environment or similar fast-paced setting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing and able to work on-site at our Chicago office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with working with video content creators.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with WebSockets and push technologies.
• Experience with detailed QA in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
