SOFTWARE ENGINEER WITH TYPESCRIPT AND NODE.JS

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Software Engineer with TypeScript and Node.js for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites.

This team is responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of the company's applications. Key activities include launching new features, preserving existing functionality, and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance and enhance the user experience.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
Solid experience with MongoDB, Redis, RESTful, and/or GraphQL API design and implementation.
Understanding production of CI/CD (the project is on GitLab CI) and troubleshooting deployments.
Familiarity with containerized deployments (no building, some general knowledge).

Nice to have

Experience with SendGrid or similar transactional email.
Familiarity with SQL/warehouse databases (Snowflake, Redshift).

Responsibilities

Support the backend team within the Community Platform organization, backfilling capacity to keep the Community product on its FY26 roadmap.
Deliver new backend features for TypeScript/Node.js services backed by MongoDB and Redis, and address performance and scalability bottlenecks as the user base continues to grow.
Work spans end-to-end delivery in collaboration with frontend engineers, product, and stakeholders.
Provide feature delivery on the backend roadmap, sprint-scoped tickets, merged to main, and deployed to prod.
Participate in production support, including bug fixes, perf improvements, and incident response on the on-call DFR during work hours.
Perform bottleneck identification and remediation, resulting in measurable improvement vs. baseline (latency, error rate, or throughput).
