Senior Backend Engineer

Are you a seasoned backend engineer with a passion for designing scalable, high-performance systems? We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 14+ years of experience to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead the design and implementation of distributed microservices and APIs to support millions of users, leveraging your deep expertise to build the backbone of an innovative platform.

What You’ll Do

Lead Backend Development:

• Architect and implement scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or Golang.
• Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs to enable seamless communication between systems.

Optimize Performance:

• Implement caching solutions with Redis and optimize database queries for efficiency.
• Develop strategies for handling millions of concurrent users with load balancing and auto-scaling.

Collaborate Across Teams:

• Work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.

Ensure Reliability and Security:

• Integrate robust authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth 2.0 and Keycloak.
• Maintain high availability and fault-tolerant systems with proactive monitoring.
• Enhance Infrastructure:
• Use Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of backend services.
• Develop asynchronous messaging systems using Kafka for event-driven architectures.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

• 14+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong track record of building and scaling distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or Golang.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Expertise in caching solutions like Redis and event-driven systems like Kafka.
• Advanced knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Leadership Skills:

• Strong ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience in driving architectural decisions and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Soft Skills:
