Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is recruiting an Expert Business Developer / Strategist to join a consultancy mission with our client, a major public-sector administration in Brussels. The engagement is part of a large-scale modernization initiative transforming a legacy monolithic application into a modern, API-first and event-driven microservices architecture running on Kubernetes. Beyond technical modernization, this is also a business transformation program: it enables the development of new features, improves agility, and accelerates the delivery of value to internal and external end users. By building a more flexible and scalable digital platform, the program supports better services, an enhanced user experience, and faster adaptation to evolving business and regulatory needs. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will carry out the responsibilities below in close collaboration with the client's teams.

Consultancy at Keystone Solutions:

• Consultancy nature of work: You will operate on site at the client's location as a Keystone Solutions consultant, embedding with client stakeholders (business leads, product owners, architects, and engineering squads) to co-create outcomes while representing Keystone's standards and values.
• Dynamic projects: You will tackle diverse challenges across modern API-first and event-driven domains, microservices design, legacy-to-modern transitions, DevOps enablement, and observability—building a portfolio of achievements that spans multiple client engagements over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to shape and refine the modernization roadmap, aligning business capabilities to an API-first and event-driven microservices architecture.
• Elicit, analyze, and challenge requirements; translate them into clear domain boundaries, event models, and API specifications that guide delivery squads.
• Bridge strategy and execution by coordinating closely with product owners, architects, developers, and DevOps engineers to ensure incremental value delivery and measurable outcomes.
• Support the progressive replacement of legacy components, ensuring continuity of service, data integrity, and controlled risk during migration.
• Champion engineering excellence across topics such as version control, CI/CD, observability, and quality practices, leveraging tools like GIT, ELK tools, and the Atlassian suite.
• Communicate effectively across business and technical audiences, facilitating decision-making and transferring knowledge to uplift client teams' competencies.
• Contribute to compliance, security, and operational readiness in a public-sector context, aligning with regulatory requirements while improving user experience.
