Chief Accountant

Role overview

We are looking for a Chief Accountant who will take responsibility for company’s accounting management in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and Estonian legislation. The Chief Accountant is responsible for compiling the annual report for the company and for all accounting related reports required by law and internal procedures.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing the accounting functions daily work, leading financial reporting, balance sheet management and internal control compliance.
• Taking responsibility for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, month and year end closing.
• Ensuring that the accounting records are compliant with fiscal regulations and taxation documents are accurately and timely prepared and submitted to the government agencies.
• Coordinating the year-end audit and the supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Analyzing departments work and procedures to improve efficiency and use of resources.
• Leading and developing the team of financial professionals to meet the objectives and responsibilities of the accounting function.

What we’re looking for

• You have previous experience for at least 3 years as a Chief Accountant in an international company.
• You have a university degree in financial area and a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• You have a strong, ambitious, result oriented personality, and you are ready to lead the team.
• You have experience with large accounting systems (preferably SAP) and good Excel skills.
• You are ready to audit current business processes, initiate and drive the change.
• You are confident to work both in Estonian and English.
