Full Stack Software Engineer (f/m/d)

Omnisent
Germany · Full-time · Not Applicable

Founded in late 2024, Omnisent is a Munich-based acoustic AI company developing next-generation sensing systems that turn sound into real-time intelligence. The team combines deep expertise in physics, machine learning, and mechanical engineering — united by a mission to unlock the untapped intelligence of the acoustic world.

At the core of Omnisent’s innovation are ultra-low-power sonic devices and the company’s Large Acoustic Model (LAM) — a foundation model trained on the complex world of non-speech audio. This unique combination enables the real-time detection, classification, and localization of acoustic events — whether identifying drones in contested airspace or tracing air leaks in manufacturing systems.

Tasks

  • Build beautiful, intuitive web applications and dashboards that transform complex sensor networks into actionable insights.

  • Develop backend services and APIs for device provisioning, fleet management, OTA updates, and secure data access.

  • Collaborate with external UI/UX and engineering partners to translate concepts into production-ready systems.

  • Implement secure user provisioning and access control, including encryption and role-based permissions.

  • Architect and operate cloud infrastructure powering Omnisent’s platform, including storage, APIs, authentication, and observability.

  • Develop internal tools for test automation, debugging, and quality workflows.

  • Work closely with embedded, RF, and AI teams to deliver seamless device–cloud–user integrations.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and maintain high reliability across production environments.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Systems Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in full stack or backend engineering.

  • Strong proficiency with at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Go, etc.) and one modern frontend framework (React, Vue, etc.).

  • Experience building and consuming secure APIs and developing modern authentication/authorization systems.

  • Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern cloud architectures.

  • Solid understanding of secure software engineering practices.

  • Experience with CI/CD processes, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.

  • Strong communication skills in English (German a plus).

  • EU work authorization.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience building IoT or distributed systems backends.

  • Background in multi-tenant or security-sensitive development.

  • Experience collaborating with external partners or agencies.

  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and scalable cloud systems.

  • Startup experience and excitement for building new technological infrastructure from scratch.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Highly competitive cash comp, along with virtual stock options, that reflect your experience and the value you bring.

  • Accelerated Learning & Growth: Join a fast-paced environment where you’ll take on real responsibility, overcome meaningful challenges, and grow alongside a driven team.

  • Make a Real Impact: Play a key role in shaping Omnisent’s journey and contribute directly to the success of the company.

Join us in redefining how the world listens, understands, and responds through intelligent acoustic sensing.

In your cover letter, we’d love to hear about your personal interests, what drives you, why this role feels like the right fit — and most importantly, why Omnisent.
