Senior Vice President (SVP) – Engineering, Generative AI

Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary engineering leader to drive the strategy, architecture, and execution of next-generation AI platforms and generative AI solutions. This role will lead large-scale engineering organizations focused on building secure, scalable, and high-performing AI-driven products and platforms that serve enterprise and consumer use cases globally.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud-native engineering, AI/ML systems, generative AI technologies, and organizational leadership, with the ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into impactful business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Technology Vision

• Define and execute the engineering strategy for AI platforms, generative AI systems, and intelligent digital products.
• Drive long-term technology vision, architecture modernization, and platform scalability initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices across reliability, performance, security, scalability, and responsible AI adoption.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align engineering initiatives with business priorities and innovation goals.

AI Platform & Product Engineering

• Lead the design and development of cloud-native AI platforms supporting:
• Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Conversational AI systems
• AI copilots and intelligent assistants
• Personalization engines
• Enterprise AI services
• Build scalable distributed systems capable of supporting high-volume user interactions and enterprise workloads.
• Drive platform standardization, reusable AI capabilities, and API-first architecture.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product, Data Science, Infrastructure, Security, and Design teams to deliver impactful AI-powered solutions.
• Ensure AI services are secure, privacy-compliant, multilingual, and production-ready.
• Collaborate with external AI ecosystem partners, cloud providers, and emerging technology vendors to accelerate innovation.

Operational Excellence

• Drive engineering excellence through modern software delivery practices including:
• Agile execution
• CI/CD automation
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Observability and monitoring
• Automated testing and release governance
• Establish measurable engineering KPIs focused on quality, reliability, scalability, and delivery velocity.

Leadership & Talent Development

• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across multiple domains.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Attract and retain top-tier engineering and AI talent in a highly dynamic environment.
• Enable strong technical leadership and succession planning across the organization.

Responsible AI & Governance

• Implement governance frameworks for ethical AI adoption, transparency, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure AI systems adhere to privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
• Drive best practices around model evaluation, bias mitigation, explainability, and operational governance.

Required Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in Generative AI, AI Platforms, or advanced AI/ML engineering environments.
• Proven experience building and scaling large-scale AI/ML systems in cloud-native ecosystems.
• Strong expertise in:
• Generative AI and LLM ecosystems
• Distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Kubernetes and containerized platforms
• APIs and platform engineering
• ML infrastructure and scalable AI deployment
• Experience integrating advanced AI technologies into enterprise-grade production systems.
• Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities with a results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Demonstrated success leading global engineering organizations in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI-driven customer and enterprise solutions at scale.
• Exposure to AI orchestration frameworks, AI agents, and modern LLM application architectures.
• Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks, governance models, and AI compliance practices.
• Strong understanding of emerging AI trends and enterprise AI transformation strategies.
• Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
