.Net Developer

On behalf of our client, a large financial organisation in Amersfoort, we are looking for an experienced Dutch speaking Senior .NET Developer. You will join a new team focused on further automating document recognition and document processing within the mortgage domain.

Documents play an important role in the mortgage application process. Customers provide essential information through digital documents. The organization wants to increasingly recognize, process and securely store these documents automatically. The first steps have already been taken, and with a new multidisciplinary team, this area will now receive additional focus.

The team will initially consist of three developers, a business developer and a product owner. An agile DevOps coach will support the team where needed. You will work in a modern cloud environment, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, security, reliability and collaboration.

What will you do?

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will help build the new microservices and APIs needed to process documents correctly. You will take on complex development tasks and build up knowledge of the business processes within your domain.

You will work on services in which data is securely received, processed and stored. Wherever possible, components communicate asynchronously with each other. The services run in Docker containers within a Kubernetes environment in Azure.

You will work in a scrum team with two-week sprints, continuously delivering, testing and deploying working code to production. In addition to development, you will actively contribute ideas on technical choices, code quality and the further development of the application landscape. Where needed, you will also coach less experienced colleagues.

What do you bring?

You have extensive experience as a .NET Developer and feel comfortable in a senior role. You enjoy working together toward shared sprint goals and believe it is important to build high-quality, secure and maintainable software.

In addition, you have:

• At least 8 years of experience as a .NET Developer;
• At least 4 years of experience as a senior developer or in a comparable role;
• Higher professional or academic working and thinking level;
• Excellent spoken and written Dutch;
• Experience with C#, .NET, Azure DevOps and Git;
• Experience building microservices;
• Experience with asynchronous communication between systems;
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Azure;
• Experience with data-intensive applications, such as Azure SQL and Entity Framework;
• Affinity with Domain-Driven Design;
• The motivation to share your specialist knowledge with the team.

Working environment

You will work within an informal and professional department where multiple teams collaborate on digital services related to mortgages. The systems run in the cloud and modern technologies are used, including tools such as Copilot.

The team works in a hybrid setup. You will work at the office in Amersfoort at least one day per week. On the other days, you can work from home and coordinate with the team via Microsoft Teams.
