Front-End Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled Front-end Web Developer. This role is crucial in supporting the design and delivery of well-crafted website components, blocks, and page templates, ensuring a cohesive and engaging web experience.

As a Front-end Web Developer, you will:

• Lead the development of compelling web design structures.
• Gather requirements, design layouts, and test accessibility and usability.
• Translate needs into conceptual models and structured designs.
• Develop and deliver visual and interactive web elements that attract visitors and drive engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and analyze requirements for new website features and functionality.
• Develop front-end elements, design components, and templates.
• Ensure quality, responsiveness, and optimization of web properties.
• Translate visual elements into reusable design components.
• Design and manage component libraries for consistent branding across multiple sites.
• Ensure website designs comply with organizational brand standards and AODA requirements.
• Support the development and testing of functional and user acceptance cases.

Education:

• A three-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Continued education in Information Technology or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:

• At least five years of experience in designing, building, operating, maintaining, and securing enterprise-class solutions.
• At least three years of experience in designing and maintaining user interfaces for the web.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in translating wireframes and concepts into developed components.
• Experience designing seamless and structured web pages.
• Excellent graphic design skills and the ability to create effective web designs.
• Proficiency in HTML, JS, JS frameworks, and CSS.
• Experience with leading DXP/CMS systems and Drupal 10.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working in an agile mode of operations.
• Experience managing work in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Higher education or public sector experience is highly desirable.
