GenAI Engineer

We are looking for a GenAI Engineer to join an innovative project within the healthcare sector. This role is ideal for professionals who combine strong technical expertise with the ability to drive GenAI initiatives end-to-end, from concept refinement to production impact.

You will act as a key technical partner, shaping GenAI solutions and ensuring alignment across architecture, data, and business needs.

Location & Work Model

• Portugal (Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra)
• Hybrid model: 2 days per week in the office (either Lisbon, Braga or Coimbra)
• Candidates must be based in Portugal
• English proficiency: C1 level or higher (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities

• Refine and finalize GenAI user stories end-to-end, including acceptance criteria and dependencies
• Take ownership of the GenAI scope, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture (EA) on complexity, feasibility, and estimates
• Assess and validate the impact of GenAI solutions across architecture, data, and security dimensions
• Act as a technical partner and advisor for GenAI-related decisions, supporting team coordination and delivery
• Contribute to the design and evolution of scalable, production-ready GenAI systems

Technical Requirements (in order of priority)

1. Strong hands-on experience with agentic development tools (e.g., Claude Code), including practical use of skills, MCP servers, rules, and commands in AI-augmented workflows
2. Solid understanding of agentic system design patterns and architectures
3. Proficiency in Python, including experience with vector databases, semantic search, prompt engineering, and LLM parameter tuning
4. Experience building and maintaining serverless architectures on AWS, including integration of GenAI services into production systems
5. Understanding of data transformation and analytics tools such as DBT and Snowflake
