Role Summary
We are seeking a AI Engineer to help design, build, and support AI-native software systems using the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem and modern agentic development patterns.
This role is ideal for someone with solid hands-on experience who can contribute independently on well-defined tasks, while still benefiting from guidance on architecture and complex decisions.
You will work closely with senior engineers to implement AI-powered solutions and gradually take ownership of components across the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Build and contribute to AI-augmented and agentic software systems across development and productivity workflows.
- Implement features using modern AI-assisted development approaches (“vibe coding”) under guidance from senior engineers.
- Develop and maintain multi-step AI agents that use tools, APIs, and structured workflows.
- Apply core agentic patterns such as task decomposition, basic memory, and orchestration.
- Integrate LLMs (e.g., Claude and others) into applications, focusing on prompt design and structured outputs.
- Translate well-defined business requirements into working AI-driven features.
- Contribute to system implementation, testing, and deployment, with support on architecture decisions.
- Write clear and concise technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product and design.
- Continuously learn and adopt new tools, frameworks, and AI development practices.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of software engineering experience, including building and maintaining production systems.
- Hands-on experience using LLMs in applications (prompting, APIs, or integrations).
- Basic experience or strong interest in agentic systems and AI workflows.
- Solid programming skills in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, etc.).
- Understanding of software design fundamentals and API integration.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar).
- Ability to debug, test, and improve AI-driven features.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work on moderately complex tasks.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-moving AI landscape.
- Good communication skills in English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with RAG systems or vector databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Exposure to agent frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, etc.).
- Understanding of system reliability, cost, and performance considerations in AI systems.
Benefits & Perks:
We value your time and lifestyle preferences, so you can choose whether you want to work entirely remotely or from our offices in Cluj-Napoca, Oradea and Bucharest.
- Access to learning through our internal platform – Precipio
- Private health insurance provided by Medicover
- Work from home fixed monthly budget
- Flexible benefits through the Edenred Benefit platform
- Sports benefit: reimbursement up to 150 lei/month for activities like gym, football, climbing, etc.
