Lead Network Engineer

For one of my customer we are looking for a Lead Network Engineer.

Location: Madrid or Barcelona(Hybrid 2 days on-site)

Duration: Until end of 2026

Description:

Within the Data Center Foundation product line, the service will contribute to the architecture, engineering, deployment, support, and evolution of Data Center network solutions and infrastructure.

The service is responsible for defining, designing, integrating, deploying, and supporting sustainable, robust, and secure network solutions while contributing to product evolution and continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities & Key Activities

• Contribute to medium- and long-term product evolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive advisory, selection, design, secure build, and integration activities for products within scope.
• Drive change implementation aligned with network product evolution objectives.
• Participate in architecture definition and integration based on standard solutions (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T).
• Participate in deployment of network solutions.
• Participate in defining operating models.
• Ensure quality of service delivery for network solutions and support activities.
• Provide high-level expertise and support for products and services.
• Combine and analyze business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
• Support P1 and P2 Data Center incidents and/or lead problem management activities.
• Produce documentation and retro-documentation of existing infrastructure.
• Communicate architectural concepts and strategies to senior managers and IT stakeholders.

Mandatory Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience within the Network domain in an international and matrix organization.
• Proven expertise in driving large architecture, standardization, and transformation initiatives.
• Expertise in Data Center environments using Cisco ACI and VMware NSX-T.
• Experience participating in architecture definition, integration, and deployment of network solutions.
• Expertise in Network Automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Expertise in Network Security products and technologies.
• Experience supporting P1 and P2 Data Center incidents and/or leading problem management activities.
• Experience documenting and retro-documenting infrastructure environments.
• Expertise in current network and infrastructure challenges and trends.
• Ability to combine and analyze business and technical requirements.
• Fluent English in a professional environment.
