Senior Data Scientist – AI Development

What we do:

At ING Türkiye, we leverage the power of data science and advanced analytics to create impactful solutions across various domains. Our teams are at the forefront of driving AI transformation in the bank by:

• Building LLM solutions to optimize business processes such as chatbot, call-center and core-banking operations
• Partnering with departments to deliver data-driven solutions
• Developing reusable AI frameworks and scalable infrastructure
• Exploring cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision or generative AI to innovate in customer experience and internal operations
• Collaborating with data engineering teams to create robust data pipelines and scalable infrastructure
• Implementing GenAI technologies, including on-prem LLM models

We’re now building a secure, on-premises LLM platform based on open-source models like Gemma. This role will help design and develop key components — including LLMOps, agentic AI structures, and fine-tuning workflows while ensuring alignment with broader MLOps best practices.

If you think you have most of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Engineering, Statistics, etc.); Master’s in Data Science is a strong plus
• 2+ years of experience in Data Science / Computer Vision, with hands-on work on LLMs and NLP
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based solution development (on-prem deployment is a plus)
• Strong understanding of LLMOps (prompt logging, evaluation, guardrails, auditability)
• Experience with agentic AI concepts like RAG, Knowledge Graphs (KGs) and familiarity with A2A and MCP like communication protocols.
• Ability to build reusable libraries for ML and GenAI use cases
• Proficient in Python; experience with GPU-based model deployment is a plus
• Excellent analytical skills; detail-oriented and forward-thinking
• Strong communicator and team player, fluent in Turkish and English

• Build and manage agentic AI frameworks for scalable internal use
• Designing and developing production-grade LLM solutions
• Develop internal libraries and tools to accelerate ML and GenAI projects
• Support teams in adopting LLM components across various use cases
• Evaluate and integrate open-source LLMs (e.g. Gemma) for on-prem deployment
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams to ensure infrastructure alignment and end-to-end delivery
