What You'll Be Doing

As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a key role in protecting Avon’s global technology environment by managing vulnerabilities and strengthening our overall security posture. You will take ownership of vulnerability management processes, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and resolved effectively. Working closely with engineering, governance, and IT teams, you’ll configure and maintain security tools, support patching activities, and help embed strong security practices across the organisation while balancing risk, compliance, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing end‑to‑end vulnerability management, including scanning, prioritisation, mitigation, and verification.
• Configuring, maintaining, and optimising security scanning tools and systems.
• Monitoring and analysing vulnerability reports to assess risk and business impact.
• Supporting and implementing patch management across operating systems and applications.
• Following change management processes and coordinating with governance and risk teams.
• Reporting risks and contributing to the organisation’s risk management framework.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively and on time.
• Continuously improving security processes and tools to enhance protection and efficiency.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of experience working in cybersecurity or IT, ideally within mixed environments (Windows and Linux).
• Experience using vulnerability scanning tools and interpreting results.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management, patching, and risk assessment.
• Ability to prioritise issues and make risk-based decisions.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• A proactive mindset with resilience and a continuous improvement approach.
