Network Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer role within a global environment, focused on managing and optimizing network infrastructure across cloud and on-prem setups.

The position involves working with routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls, as well as ensuring network performance, handling incidents, and contributing to ongoing improvements and architecture changes. It also includes exposure to modern security concepts (Zero Trust) and technologies like Cisco, Cloudflare, and cloud networking (AWS/Azure).

Requirements:

1. Experience with Cisco WLC, SDWAN, ISE is highly desired
2. Experience with InfoBlox DDI is desired
3. Experience with CloudFlare Proxy/CloudFlare DNS.
4. Experience of Zero Trust IT security model and Web Content Filtering solutions such as Zscaler.
5. Azure cloud experience
6. Nice: Cloud certifications such as AWS CLF-C02 and ANS-C01, Azure AZ-700 or equivalent
7. Nice: Zscaler certifications in Zscaler for Users SSE, Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and/or Zero Trust Certified Associate (ZTCA)
8. Nice: Automation Terraform
9. Nice:Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Thousand Eyes, Grafana & Prometheus

Responsibilities:

1. Manage our global network and key network components/platforms, such as Azure Cloud, switches, routers, VPNs, and firewalls, from a variety of vendors (e.g., Cisco).
2. Implement timely and practical solutions to restore functionality.
3. Monitor the performance and capacity of key network locations and equipment daily.
4. Manage and respond to network incidents, escalating problems to appropriate team members or vendors as required.
5. Assist in audit & compliance activities by providing required evidence and input.
6. Maintain network documentation, including configurations, cabling layouts, diagrams, and operational procedures and protocols.
7. Participate in planning and implementing changes to the network, including the installation of new equipment, software updates, and configuration changes.
8. Work collaboratively with other teams, departments, or vendors to ensure the network supports the organization's needs.
9. Demonstrate flexibility in your approach, remain level-headed under pressure, and communicate effectively at different levels and across regions.
10. Adhere to strict deadlines and manage projects, including the installation and decommissioning of hardware.
11. Experience with CloudWatch and/or Azure Monitor
