Responsibilities
Our client, NETS International seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Istanbul, Turkiye.
• Apply deep technical knowledge and industry awareness to operate critical / high-risk technology areas across the customer's Juniper estate.
• Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to design and deliver solutions for the customer.
• Resolve technical (and select business) incidents independently; escalate into Juniper TAC and engineering as appropriate.
• Mentor and consult with customer team members, partner organisations, and other vendors on complex issues.
• Act as a consultant in service delivery — covering technology, industry context and specific applications.
• Deliver strategic account support by maintaining high-level technical, operational and industry expertise.
• Review the customer support plan against business indicators and map to HPE / Juniper service solutions.
• Develop and grow the assigned customer account relationship; act as trusted advisor to customer and HPE sales teams.
• Design and deliver support solutions; assist Mission Critical / project managers in solution formation; lead Mission Critical delivery teams in planning, delivering, and managing complex support engagements.
• Create and deliver Value Based Delivery (VBD) account plans for the assigned account.
• Lead customer expectation management as part of the escalation process. • Provide suggestions for operational efficiencies and feed into operational methods / programmes affecting regional business management strategy.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or associate degree in a technical field, with 6–8 years of relevant working experience in service-provider or large-enterprise networking.
• Proven track record in a Resident Engineer, Senior Field Engineer, or Senior TAC Engineer role with a major networking OEM, Tier-1 telco or large systems integrator.
Demonstrable customer-facing experience in Turkey; established working relationships with Turkish telco operators are a strong plus.
Knowledge & Skills
• In-depth knowledge of industry-standard networked computing environments, operating systems and applications.
• In-depth knowledge of implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN and Internet-service environments.
• Thorough knowledge of HPE / Juniper product and services offerings, organisation, competitors, third-party products and market trends.
• Anticipate customer needs, develop proposed solutions and build consensus.
• Experienced knowledge of change management process and tools in complex environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work across customer engineering and management layers, and with the Juniper account team and TAC.
• Hands-on installation and operation of IP routers, switches and firewalls — including management tooling and network analysers.
• Detailed understanding of IP networking protocols, specifically:
◦ TCP/IP fundamentals
◦ IP subnetting / supernetting and hierarchical routing principles
◦ Routing protocol operation — OSPF and BGP
◦ BGP peering policies; VPNs and associated tunnelling (L2TP, MPLS, etc.); switching, spanning tree; firewall technologies ◦ Junos OS — configuration, operation, troubleshooting and upgrade hygiene
Certifications
• JNCIP (Juniper Networks Certified Professional) or higher — strongly preferred (JNCIE-level candidates will be prioritised).
• Mission Critical certification — nice to have.
• ITIL Foundation (or higher) — nice to have
