Your New Job

As the Project Manager - Operations, you will take full ownership of leading and supporting a team of project managers, ensuring company wide project execution is on budget and on schedule, guiding projects from kickoff through completion. You’ll manage budgets, coordinate resources, oversee contractors and vendors, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.


Your role will include:

  • Leading the end‑to‑end delivery of energy conservation projects
  • Monitoring progress, adjusting plans, and addressing field challenges in real time
  • Managing project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
  • Coordinating field crews, internal teams, contractors, and third‑party vendors
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Documenting schedules, budgets, and change orders
  • Providing regular updates to clients, stakeholders and leadership
  • Conducting post‑project reviews to identify improvements

What You Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of proven experience managing operational, execution‑driven projects
  • Strong financial skills with hands‑on experience tracking budgets and costs
  • Experience coordinating field operations, contractors, or vendors
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Clear, confident communication skills and comfort managing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong MS Office (Excel) understanding
  • An understanding of mechanical engineering/construction is a strong asset
  • This role is based in office in Hamilton or on-site in surrounding regions so the ability to work in-person 100% is vital.

Preferred assets include:

  • Experience in energy conservation, energy efficiency, utilities, HVAC, or related sectors
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency programs or retrofit initiatives
  • A PMP or similar certification (an asset, not a requirement)
