About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (PHP) to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of extensive experience in web application development, with a strong focus on PHP frameworks, database management, and frontend technologies. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing web-based solutions that enhance our operational efficiency and user experience. The candidate should be a self-motivated team player capable of handling complex development tasks, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing healthcare organization by leveraging your technical expertise to build innovative digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in PHP, Laravel, or MySQL are advantageous.
• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in web application development.
• Proficiency in PHP frameworks, particularly Laravel; experience with CodeIgniter and YII2 is a plus.
• Strong expertise in database management with MySQL; familiarity with PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Solid understanding of frontend technologies including jQuery, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of web services and APIs, including RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and debugging capabilities.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize PHP-based web applications utilizing Laravel framework to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Design, implement, and manage MySQL databases, ensuring data security, integrity, and optimal performance.
• Create interactive and responsive user interfaces using jQuery, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to enhance user experience.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Implement and maintain APIs for seamless data exchange between different systems and platforms.
• Optimize application performance and database queries to improve speed and efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in PHP, Laravel, and frontend technologies to incorporate best practices and innovative solutions.
