A Senior Product Designer at R/GA is a hybrid creative who operates at the intersection of design, technology, and insight. You connect high-fidelity craft with systemic strategy to build for the most innovative companies in the world. By using your deep understanding of narratives and systems, you ensure design systems bring brands to life through memorable and meaningful experiences. You translate complex technical offerings into intuitive experiences, building a deep knowledge of a client's products to shape experience.

The Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you don't just "design screens"—you design the way a user understands, interacts with, and eventually advocates for a product. You ensure that every component serves a narrative purpose and every marketing claim is backed by a functional product truth. You are accountable for product outcomes as well as delivery of design detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and cultivate design systems that prioritize storytelling, developing patterns that bring product narratives to life.
• Craft intuitive user journeys using motion, micro-interactions, and clear content hierarchies.
• Partner across disciplines with internal teams like Strategy and Development and clients alike to ensure design intent is technically feasible and that transitions from concept to delivery are seamless.
• Help articulate design visions with clarity, framing how specific systemic decisions lead to user success for both technical and business stakeholders.
• Design and iterate on user interfaces and experiences for websites, digital products, and mobile apps.
• Prototype interactive experiences that engage users and drive conversion.
• Collaborate with project leads to deliver exceptional designs that consistently exceed client expectations.
• Champion design quality and consistency throughout every phase of a project's lifecycle.
• Articulate your design decisions and rationale with confidence when collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Present your work directly to clients, playing an active role in meetings and reviews.
• Mentor and guide junior designers to help elevate the team's overall craft.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years in a high-tier creative agency or product environment, with a portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of both rigorous systems thinking and high-impact visual craft.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Design or a comparable background of rigorous formal education and professional experience.
• Expert-level mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, paired with fluency in emerging generative tools (e.g. Gemini, Flow, AI Studio, Runway, v0, Claude Code, etc.) to accelerate the vibe-coding and prototyping process, essential for creating high-fidelity, systemic deliverables.
• A robust understanding of front-end programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks (React, Tailwind, CSS variables), with a confidence to speak the language of product managers and engineers when building digital platforms.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to pitch a design vision and articulate the connection between design decisions and user success to diverse, technical, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience architecting digital platforms across web and mobile, demonstrating a proven track record of translating requirements into intuitive UX/UI.
• Full proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clarity and collaboration across global product teams.
