Senior HR Generalist / HR Operations (FR/NL/EN) Antwerp region | 6-month assignment | Employee or Freelance

For one of our international clients active in the premium retail sector, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist / HR Operations professional to support and strengthen HR operations in Belgium.

This position is ideal for a hands-on HR professional with strong expertise in Hard HR, payroll coordination and Belgian labour law, who enjoys working in a dynamic, operational and multi-stakeholder environment.

You will join an international company with a strong retail footprint and work closely with local and international stakeholders.

Your responsibilities As Senior HR Generalist / HR Operations, you will play a key operational role in supporting HR activities across Belgium.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full employee lifecycle administration (contracts, amendments, onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation);
  • Preparing and coordinating payroll inputs in collaboration with external payroll partners;
  • Supporting and coordinating HR operations for the Belgian population;
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR and payroll-related matters;
  • Managing administrative HR follow-up and ensuring process accuracy;
  • Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders in an international environment;
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to HR administration and operational processes.
Your profile We are looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong operational HR expertise with excellent communication skills.

Experience & technical background
  • Several years of experience in a HR Generalist, HR Operations or Hard HR role;
  • Strong understanding of Belgian labour law and HR administration;
  • Experience with payroll preparation and payroll coordination;
  • Solid knowledge of the employee lifecycle;
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (integrated HR systems);
  • Experience in retail, multi-site or fast-paced operational environments is a strong asset.

  • Comfortable managing priorities in a dynamic environment;
  • Resilient and able to work in an operational context;
  • Strong sense of ownership and organization.
Languages You are fluent in:

  • Dutch
  • French
  • English
