Project Manager

Overview

We now wish to recruit a Project Manager to support projects on site for a client in the region of Mons in Belgium. This person will be working as part of the site project engineering team managing key site investment projects from concept through to handover.

This function is open for freelancers and employees.

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.

Responsibilities

As owner representative:

• Point of contact for AE/GC/CM/Subcontractors for project related concerns in Preconstruction phase
• Create and establish the Master Project Budget, including soft costs and hard costs, bonds, insurance, contingencies, allowances, etc.
• Support Contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations
• Assist client in identifying, scoping, buying-out and scheduling of all Owner-direct vendors and consultant
  
  

Construction phase:

• Manage General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground
• Manage Cost / Change Control
  
  

Close out / Fit Up:

• Initiate close out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance
• Establish close out documentation requirements. Collect and track receipt of all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.
• Identify potential issues and raise and report these
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction sites.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications and qualifications
• Experience with infrastructure or any complex projects, ...
• Good knowledge of Primavera P6
• English speaking (knowledge of French is an advantage, not a must have)
• You are quickly available and possess a work permit to work in Belgium
