Your role

As a (Junior) Security Architect, you will be designing security architectures, leading technical discussions with various stakeholders, and translating messy business problems into workable security solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of (cloud) security principles, technologies, and best practices, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will be involved in projects to design, establish, implement, improve and enhance the (Cloud) Security Architectures for leading organizations across industries. Project scope can span over strategic architecture design, security domain expertise across cloud, cloud transformation, DevSecOps, data security, network security, identity, and security operations. Your role will focus mainly on designing, supporting and managing the enterprise-wide (cloud) security architecture, performing assessment, advising customers on best practices approaches and solutions to protect their information assets.

You won’t be working alone — you will collaborate with our global and local teams of cyber professionals, who bring a balanced mix of technical, legal, and business expertise to support you.

What You'll Actually Do:

• Contribute to, or lead client projects by developing and implementing cybersecurity solutions and controls tailored to address our clients’ challenges
• Support clients during their cloud transformation initiatives, making sure that all technical security risks are correctly identified, mitigated and reported. This may lead to also integrating the new cloud infrastructure in the overarching security architecture and strategy
• Design high-level and detailed security architectures aligned with business objectives and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) across multiple security domains
• Develop blueprints and artefacts for key security controls and capabilities across the organization and specify functional and non-functional security requirements and technical specifications to ensure mitigation of risks and compliance with key regulations
• Assist clients in evaluating security technologies, aligning tooling with roadmaps, and translating security controls into architecture patterns and designs
• Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with stakeholders and clients by collaborating closely to understand their business needs and ensuring all engagements meet the highest quality standards
• Support proposal development, including responding to RFPs and contributing to business development activities related to potential projects and engagements

What we are looking for:

You are passionate about technology, particularly in the realm of securing IT environments and are committed to continuously expanding your knowledge. To succeed in this role, you will need curiosity, an open mind, and client-focused mindset. as well as ability to quickly learn new concepts and efficiently source relevant information from our Finnish resources or our global network. With 4 - 6 years of cybersecurity experience, ideally in a consulting capacity, you possess some of the following skills:

Technical skills:

• Extensive security architecture experience across cloud transformation, DevSecOps, data security, network security, identity, and security operations
• Strong understanding/experience of cloud security solutions beyond just the technical layer. You need to know what the whole solution package consists of and how they should be delivered
• Knowledge of security frameworks, standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, CRA or other)
• Interest in establishing and/or maintaining Enterprise Security Architecture model and related artefacts following the TOGAF or SABSA model
• Intermediate to advanced experience with one or more public cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, and/or GCP, with a strong focus on security
• Experience with secure configuration of cloud/container architectures; programming/scripting knowledge (Python/Java/PowerShell)
• Familiarity and interest in AI and ML tools and their applications in security solutions
• Having completed some relevant cyber certifications provided by ISACA or ISC2 or have ambition to complete some. Additional other relevant certifications relating to technologies such as Palo alto, Zscaler, Microsoft or other as well as architecture models mentioned (SABSA/TOGAF) are not required, but seen as an advantage

Soft skills:

• You enjoy challenges and are eager to solve and find solutions to even the most complex client problems. Having experience also from the client perspective, especially from working with or at large multinational organization is always beneficial, but not required
• Ability to make complex analysis and communicate it in a concise and clear manner, appropriately tailored to people from a very wide range of cultures, technical backgrounds and seniorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good coaching skills to support the professional development of junior colleagues
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to priorities tasks effectively. Proven ability to execute and deliver, not just design or theorize
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry trends
• You get satisfaction from helping organizations whilst forming and maintaining long-term business partnerships/relationships requiring effective interpersonal skills

Requirements:

• Fluency in English and in Finnish, both oral and written
• You are required to be currently located in Finland, possess a valid residence permit and eligibility for security clearance (turvallisuusselvitys). We are currently not considering candidates requiring relocation
