Project Lead

V7 Recruitment is supporting a leading data centre delivery specialist, providing full turnkey solutions from design through to construction and commissioning across Europe. The business is recognised as a trusted partner in delivering large-scale, mission-critical projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Lead will take full ownership of project delivery - ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong commercial awareness, technical expertise, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle project delivery, including cost, schedule, and budget management
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless execution
• Track and drive critical milestones to avoid delays and ensure timely completion
• Review construction proposals, scopes, and pricing
• Lead client and project coordination meetings
• Monitor cost drivers and provide data-led insights and reporting
• Manage procurement strategies and long-lead equipment schedules
• Validate and audit subcontractor cost estimates

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role within construction or data centres
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Commercially astute with solid financial and cost control experience
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
• Proficient in MS Office and project management tools
• Able to perform under pressure while maintaining high safety and quality standards
