Senior Data Modeler (Snowflake Solution - Azure Cloud) - Fund Management -

As a Senior Data Modeler specializing in Snowflake Solution on Azure Cloud within the Fund Management domain, you will be responsible for creating robust and scalable data models that meet the specific needs of the customer. You will collaborate closely with Functional team, analysts, and IT professionals to understand complex financial data requirements and translate them into efficient and effective data models using Snowflake on Azure Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling:

Be responsible for the development of the conceptual, logical, and physical data models, the implementation on cloud database data marts, and data lakes on target platforms (Snowflake) Develop, refine, and maintain complex data models using Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity for fund management applications.

Domain Expertise:

Leverage your expertise in Fund Management to understand intricate financial data structures, investment strategies, and reporting requirements, translating them into optimal data models.

Snowflake Expertise:

Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Snowflake features and best practices to design efficient and scalable data structures, including schemas, tables, and views, within Azure Cloud environments.

Collaboration:

Work closely with fund managers, analysts, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure successful integration of data models into fund management systems.

Performance Optimization:

Monitor and optimize data models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency within Snowflake on Azure Cloud, ensuring smooth and high-speed data processing.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data models, entity-relationship diagrams, and data dictionaries, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing among team members.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency, working closely with QA teams to resolve any discrepancies.

Data Governance:

Implement data governance practices, including data lineage, data cataloging, and metadata management, to ensure compliance and enhance data transparency within the Fund Management domain.

Technical Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Extensive experience in data modeling, particularly within the domain of Fund Management.
• Proven expertise in Snowflake Solution on Azure Cloud, including data warehouse design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in data modeling tools.
• Familiarity with financial data structures, investment products, and fund management processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with fund managers, analysts, and IT professionals.
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Snowflake certification(s) related to data modeling and architecture.
• Experience with other Azure services related to data analytics and storage.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices in financial services.
