Senior Game Designer (Live Ops & Monetization)
At Sixteen Tons Entertainment, we're looking for a Senior Game Designer to help drive the long-term success of EMERGENCY HQ, our successful live mobile game.
You have strong Live Ops, monetization, and economy design expertise and understand what keeps players engaged over months and years. Using both player empathy and data, you create systems, events, and experiences that drive long-term engagement and sustainable growth.
Your Impact
- Own and evolve Live Ops initiatives and systems, progression systems, game economies and monetization features
- Design engaging events, offers, and features that drive retention and long-term player engagement
- Balance rewards, pricing, currencies, sinks, and progression systems
- Build and maintain balancing models and simulations to support data-informed decisions
- Analyze player behavior, run experiments, and turn insights into impactful improvements
- Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, Community, Engineering, and Art to continuously improve EMERGENCY HQ
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years of experience working on successful live F2P games
- Strong expertise in Live Ops, monetization, progression systems, and economy design
- Deep understanding of player motivation, retention, engagement, and conversion
- Experience balancing complex systems and making data-informed decisions
- Excellent spreadsheet and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Professional English; German is a plus but not needed
Nice to Have
- Experience with strategy, simulation, builder, or management games
- Experience operating mature live games with long-term player communities
- Familiarity with SQL, analytics platforms, remote configuration systems, or Unity

Location: Berlin, Germany (Hybrid). We believe great games are built through close collaboration, so we expect regular in-office presence. While we're flexible, this is not a remote role.
Language: English is our working language. German is a plus, but not required.
