We are looking for a Group Finance Director who will provide leadership and strategic oversight of core finance functions within a fast-growing tech company with over 4,000 employees operating across EMEA.

Reporting to the CFO, the Group Finance Director will drive financial accuracy, compliance, and process improvement across the organisation, including Accounting, Controlling, Financial Reporting and Compliance. This position will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with overall business objectives.

About The Role

As Group Finance Director, you will lead a team of around 100 finance professionals (and growing), working across multiple countries and business lines. They will be responsible for maintaining robust financial controls, enhancing financial systems infrastructure, and establishing a culture of continuous improvement to ensure company readiness for a potential IPO.

You will ensure finance is positioned as a strategic asset to the company, facilitating growth and maintaining resilience through scalability initiatives.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Shape and communicate the strategic direction for core finance functions, aligning team objectives with broader company goals
  • Foster a high-performance culture, promoting best practices and process excellence throughout the finance organisation.
  • Own the production and consolidation of financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to support financial decisions and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in end-to-end financial processes, reducing variability and enhancing quality across functions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, including C-suite, operational teams, and supporting functions like FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Legal.
  • Drive key strategic projects, including preparing the finance organisation for a potential public offering and adapting processes to support compliance and transparency.


About you:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in finance, with a proven track record in accounting, controlling, and finance leadership within complex, multinational environments.
  • Expertise in IFRS and international accounting standards, with a strong technical foundation and experience in leading large finance teams.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CIMA, or ACA certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and build partnerships across functions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-growth, dynamic environments and manage complexity and change..
  • Ownership & Accountability: Takes full responsibility for finance outcomes and continuously seeks improvement.
