Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Galway (onsite 3 days a week)

Salary: €60,000 - €70,000 base salary


We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of technology projects while supporting the development and performance of a growing project delivery team. This role combines hands-on project management with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, operational resilience, or compliance frameworks IS KEY


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the planning, delivery, and governance of IT projects involving infrastructure, systems, and software solutions.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, providing regular updates and recommendations.
  • Support and mentor project team members, contributing to performance management and capability development.
  • Review and quality-assure project documentation and client deliverables.
  • Conduct technology reviews, gap analyses, and improvement assessments where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, standards, and methodologies.
  • Support resource planning and recruitment activities as the team grows.


Essential Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years' experience delivering IT projects, including experience leading teams or project resources.
  • Familiarity with the Central Bank of Ireland regulatory environment and frameworks such as DORA, NIS2, CBI Cross-Industry Guidance, or ISO 27001.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Proven track record delivering technology projects across infrastructure and software environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior management.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in project governance, risk management, and reporting.
