For our Milan offices we are searching for a
Digital Product Designer,
a key role within the Fortidia Digital & Marketing team.
The Digital Product designer is responsible for shaping the end-to-end user experience across all Fortidia digital products — including HUB, customer and franchisee portals, mobile apps, and internal data tools. In this role, you will translate complex operational and business needs into intuitive, consistent, and scalable digital experiences that drive adoption, reduce friction, and create measurable value for our global network.
Compensation
€45,000 – €60,000 gross annual salary + bonus + benefits.
Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and internal equity criteria aligned with our compensation framework.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Strategy
- Define and own the design vision for all Fortidia digital products, ensuring coherent and high-quality experiences across platforms (web, mobile, internal tools).
- Establish and maintain a unified design system, component library, and UX guidelines used by all product teams.
- Promote a user-centered culture across the organization, advocating for design thinking at every stage of product development.
User Research & Insights
- Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to generate actionable insights.
- Synthesize research findings into personas, journey maps, and design briefs that inform product strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Monitor UX metrics and product analytics to continuously validate and improve design outcomes.
Design Execution
- Lead the design process from discovery to delivery: wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and final handoff to development teams.
- Ensure design assets are production-ready, well-documented, and accurately implemented by engineering teams.
- Manage design reviews and QA cycles to guarantee the final product matches design intent.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Managers, IT, Marketing, and Operations teams across geographies to align design with business goals.
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly to senior stakeholders and non-design audiences.
Process & Standards
- Introduce and embed scalable design processes, tools, and standards to reduce rework and increase efficiency across teams.
- Maintain documentation of design decisions, patterns, and best practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree
- 5+ years of experience in product design or UX/UI roles, ideally in SaaS, platform, or multi-brand digital environments.
- Proven track record of designing complex digital products from concept to launch, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process.
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design decisions.
- Solid understanding of front-end development constraints (HTML/CSS fundamentals) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Strong analytical mindset: ability to interpret UX metrics, A/B test results, and product analytics to drive design improvements.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Collaborative spirit, bold, passionate, tenacious and curious mindset, not afraid to explore new ideas and challenge the status quo in pursuit of better solutions.
- Excellent mastery of written and spoken English; Italian is surely an advantage.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in franchising, logistics, or e-commerce ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools such as Jira or Wrike.
