Senior Node.js Developer (Sportsbook)

We are looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join our sportsbook product team.

You will be responsible for developing and scaling backend services that power a high-load betting platform. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building distributed systems, and working with modern backend technologies.

You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions. The position does not involve direct communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Build and improve microservice-based architecture
• Develop and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and ClickHouse
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Solve complex and non-standard engineering challenges
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of services
• Contribute to system monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Work on high-load distributed systems processing large volumes of data

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial experience with Node.js development
• Strong experience with NestJS
• Basic understanding of Golang
• Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
• Practical experience with Git and modern development workflows
• Experience working with REST APIs and microservice architectures
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality

Nice to Have

• Experience with Angular, React, or Vue
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and Node.js event loop internals
• Experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka
• Experience with Zookeeper and distributed locking mechanisms
• Experience building high-load and distributed applications
• Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and performance optimization
