Information Technology Security Specialist
The Infrastructure Operations Unit (OPERATIONS) within the Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC), is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of secure hosting, networking, and central service solutions both on premises and in the cloud. This includes running the Operations Centre and providing 24/7 support for data centres, security, and network. In this Unit, the Systems Operations Service (SYSOP) is responsible for running the corporate email service, database and operating systems of the European Parliament (EP). It also assures the 24/7 monitoring and troubleshooting of the infrastructure, quickly detecting and solving the incidents that may arise in the IT systems of the EP.
Responsibilities and tasks:
DG ITEC is looking for a motivated, dynamic and versatile ICT Security Specialist to join the Infrastructure Operations Unit in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will support the unit by playing a pivotal role in managing cybersecurity risks and integrating security controls across the full lifecycle of IT systems. Along with the support of colleagues and team of external consultants, the candidate will be responsible for the Operations Centre, in charge of monitoring the IT infrastructure availability and security, as well as coordinating the incident and change management.

Knowledge and skills:
- The SYSOP Service is looking for a motivated colleague with a versatile profile, demonstrating flexibility, a service-oriented mindset and a structured approach.
- The successful candidate will have a sound IT background with experience in IT security.
- This person will demonstrate strong experience in service management and show very good coordination and leadership skills.
- A proactive approach regarding recent IT evolutions would be an asset.
- A very good command of either French or English, both oral and written, is required.
