AI Engineer - Agentic (Contract or Perm, both options available)

Compensation: Flexible, dependent on experience

Location: Amsterdam (One day a week in the office)

Must be able to speak Dutch or English

You’ll be at the heart of building real, production-ready agents, not demos. Spearheading the next-generation enterprise knowledge platform. Essentially, you'll be building production-grade RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems from scratch to unlock massive, unstructured corporate data. You’ll be designing the entire data pipeline—handling data ingestion, optimisation of vector embeddings, fine-tuning retrieval accuracy, and solving complex challenges around semantic search and data security at scale.

The Technical Focus:

• Tech: Python, LLM, LangGraph or LangChain, PyTest, Docker, Kubernetes, RAG
• Comfortable shipping and operating software in a secure or regulated environment

What You Will Do

• Drive Strategy: Partner with C-level executives to align their business goals with cutting-edge digital solutions, from cloud migration to secure infrastructure.
• Lead Complex Deliveries: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of massive IT modernisation projects, ensuring seamless execution, scalability, and security.
• Innovate: Leverage modern tech stacks, automation, and data analytics to optimise legacy environments and future-proof client operations.
• Collaborate Globally: Work alongside an international network of elite engineers, cybersecurity experts, and business strategists to deliver world-class results.

Offering: Freelance or Permanent openings available:

• Freelance: 12-month initial contract |
• Permanent: Depending on experience
• Flexibility: Open to "Contract-to-Perm" after the first year of contracting or happy being a permanent employee from day 1.
• Remote flex: Only 1 day a week in the office required in the Amsterdam area

• Language: Must be comfortable speaking Dutch or English
• Location: Based in the Netherlands - within commutable distance to Amsterdam areas once a week
• Mindset: Hands-on experience in regulated or secure environments.
