Job Purpose
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting employees, managers, and operational teams at our Águeda manufacturing site. This position is focused on Employee Relations, ensuring a positive work environment, providing day-to-day Human Resources support, and contributing to the effective implementation of people processes and initiatives across the plant.

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting employees, managers, and operational teams at our Águeda manufacturing site. This position is focused on Employee Relations, ensuring a positive work environment, providing day-to-day Human Resources support, and contributing to the effective implementation of people processes and initiatives across the plant.
A glimpse of your daily mission
- Act as the main Human Resources point of contact for employees, providing visible and accessible support across the production environment.
- Build strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers to foster engagement, trust, and open communication.
- Support managers in handling attendance, performance, employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
- Ensure the consistent application of Human Resources policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, contract administration, medical examinations, and offboarding processes.
- Support timekeeping activities, ensuring accurate records of attendance, overtime, working schedules, and absences.
- Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies and coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and administration of temporary workers.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives across operational and business functions.
- Support employee engagement activities, internal communication initiatives, and workplace events.
- Contribute to Human Resources reporting, compliance activities, process improvements, and organizational projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources Operations, and temporary workforce management.
- Knowledge of recruitment, learning and development, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Understanding of payroll and timekeeping practices.
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese labour legislation.
- Experience working with Human Resources information systems; experience with SAP SuccessFactors is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all organizational levels.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken; Spanish is a plus.
