Siemens is seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and deploying data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges. We are looking for a professional with a strong foundation in data science, a passion for continuous learning, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Science & Machine Learning:
  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning and deep learning models to solve real-world problems.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation to ensure robust and accurate solutions.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Software Engineering & Development:
  • Apply software engineering best practices to build scalable, maintainable, and production-ready data science solutions.
  • Develop and optimize Python-based data pipelines and analytical tools, leveraging data science libraries and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data science models into existing systems and applications.
  • Data & Analytics:
  • Work with large and complex datasets, utilizing platforms like Snowflake for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of data products, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and usability.
  • Understand and implement data governance principles to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Actively participate in agile development frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) to deliver iterative solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in a Data Scientist or similar role.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with extensive experience in data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy).
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and non-relational databases, particularly Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with software engineering principles, including version control (Git), testing, and deployment.
  • Understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms, model training, and evaluation techniques.
  • Mindset & Soft Skills:

  • Agile Frameworks: Proven experience working within agile development environments.
  • Team Spirit: Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Communication: Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
