Firmware developer

On-site collaboration with the software, mechanical design and manufacturing team.

Develop firmware that powers autonomous electric vehicles.

At PEK Automotive we design and manufacture autonomous electric machines and robotic vehicles used in agriculture, rescue operations and other demanding outdoor environments.

We are looking for a Firmware developer who enjoys working close to hardware and wants to see their code running on real machines.

You will work directly with custom electronics, sensors and control systems used in next-generation autonomous vehicles.

What you will work on:

• Development of embedded firmware in C for autonomous and semi-autonomous electric vehicles

• Firmware development for STM32-based control units and electronic modules

• Integration of sensors, actuators and vehicle communication systems

• Testing, debugging and optimization of embedded systems

• Collaboration with electronics engineers during PCB development and validation

• Functional testing of electronic modules and prototypes

• Troubleshooting hardware-software interactions using oscilloscopes and measurement equipment

• Supporting development of next-generation autonomous robotic systems

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation

Technologies you will use:

• C programming language

• STM32 microcontrollers

• ARM Cortex-M platforms

• UART, SPI, I2C

• CAN, RS485, RS422

• Git version control

• Oscilloscopes and embedded debugging tools

What we are looking for:

• Experience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers

• Experience with STM32-based projects

• Good understanding of embedded communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, RS485)

• Ability to debug hardware and software interactions

• Experience using oscilloscopes or other electronic measurement equipment

• Basic understanding of signal processing

• Good command of English

• Careful and detail-oriented approach to engineering work

Nice to have:

• Experience in robotics, automotive or industrial automation

• Experience with battery-powered systems

• Experience with electric vehicles or mobile machines

• Familiarity with embedded communication networks
