About the Position


We are seeking an experienced and creative Web & Digital Platform Manager to lead and coordinate Arcadia’s Web Design and Web Development team, ensuring the organization’s digital presence remains visually compelling, technically reliable, user-centered, and aligned with Arcadia’s mission and strategic objectives. This role places a strong emphasis on team leadership, mentorship, workflow coordination, and design governance, ensuring that web initiatives are delivered consistently, professionally, and in alignment with organizational standards.

Reporting to the CTO and working closely with department managers and senior leadership, the Web & Digital Platform Manager will guide the Web Design team in translating organizational needs into effective digital solutions, balancing creativity, usability, accessibility, branding, and technical feasibility. The role combines strategic oversight, project coordination, quality assurance, and hands-on platform expertise within the Wix ecosystem, including Wix Studio/Editor, CMS, automations, and Velo by Wix.


Key Responsibilities

Web Design Team Leadership & Coordination

Lead, mentor, and coordinate Arcadia’s Web Design and Web Development team, fostering collaboration, accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement across digital initiatives.

● Provide strategic guidance, technical direction, and quality oversight to ensure all web projects align with organizational goals, branding standards, and user experience expectations.

● Support the professional development of team members through coaching, feedback, knowledge sharing, and workflow optimization.

●  Coordinate the activities of distributed contributors, including part-time staff, volunteers, and technical collaborators where applicable.


Digital Platform Oversight & Website Management

 Oversee the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Arcadia’s Wix-based digital ecosystem, ensuring high standards of usability, accessibility, performance, responsiveness, and visual consistency.

● Manage and guide the effective use of the Wix platform, including Wix Studio/Editor, CMS, Members Area, Pricing Plans, Automations, SEO tools, and related integrations.

● Support the implementation of advanced website functionality and workflow enhancements using Velo by Wix and related technologies where appropriate.

● Ensure website architecture, navigation, and content structures remain scalable, organized, and aligned with operational and user needs.


Design Governance & User Experience

  Define, maintain, and enforce web design standards, UX/UI principles, accessibility practices, and digital brand consistency across all online platforms and digital touchpoints.

● Review and validate design and development work to ensure coherence, quality assurance, technical reliability, and alignment with Arcadia’s mission and communication standards.

● Promote user-centered design practices that enhance engagement, accessibility, and usability across devices and audiences.


Stakeholder Collaboration & Project Delivery

 Collaborate closely with department managers and organizational leadership to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and translate operational needs into effective digital solutions.

● Coordinate project planning, workload prioritization, timelines, and delivery across web-related initiatives using project management and collaboration tools such as Trello or equivalent platforms.

● Act as a key liaison between technical contributors and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project lifecycles.


Operational Improvement & Digital Strategy Support

 Contribute to the continuous improvement of Arcadia’s digital operations, workflows, and online engagement capabilities.

●  Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, scalability, and improved digital governance within the organization’s web ecosystem.

●  Support organizational decision-making by advising leadership on web platform capabilities, digital best practices, and sustainable web management approaches.


Skills and Competencies Required

Web Platform & Technical Expertise

 Strong experience managing and developing websites within the Wix ecosystem, including Wix Editor and/or Wix Studio.

● Working knowledge of Velo by Wix, including front-end scripting, CMS functionality, automations, integrations, and basic backend logic.

●  Familiarity with CMS-driven websites, responsive design principles, SEO fundamentals, forms, workflows, and digital content management.


Leadership & Team Management

 Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate web designers, developers, and technical contributors within collaborative and distributed environments.

● Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely delivery of initiatives.

 

Design & User Experience Excellence

  Strong eye for visual design, layout, typography, branding consistency, and user experience.

● Ability to balance creativity with usability, accessibility, technical feasibility, and performance considerations.


Communication, Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery Expectations

 Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders while maintaining responsiveness, consistency, quality of delivery, and timely completion of assigned work.

● Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation capabilities.

 

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.

● Minimum 5 years of professional experience in web design and digital platform management, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing web or digital teams.

● Demonstrated experience delivering and maintaining real-world websites within the Wix ecosystem (portfolio required).

● Experience leading distributed or cross-functional teams in collaborative digital environments is highly desirable.

● Strong advisory and coordination experience, with the ability to support leadership in digital strategy, web governance, and operational planning.

● Familiarity with mission-driven, nonprofit, educational, or international organizations is an asset but not required.

● Fluency in English (CEFR C1) is required.

● Comfortable with flexible working arrangements, including part-time commitment, contributing 8–10 hours (20%) per week, with the ability to work remotely and choose working hours.
