Working alongside our hardware, embedded, and product teams, you will play a key role in bringing new electronic products from prototype to production, helping to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and scalability while delivering solutions that make a real-world impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate SMT pick-and-place equipment including the Neoden K1830.
  • Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate machine performance, addressing technical issues proactively.
  • Train and guide team members on machine operations and best practices.
  • Analyse manufacturing workflows and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Embedded team to ensure product designs and Embedded C firmware are optimised for manufacturability, testing, and production scalability.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SMT equipment.
  • Create schematics, support PCB layouts, component placement, and assembly processes.
  • Manage prototyping and testing of new designs.
  • Implement and uphold quality control measures to meet industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure assembled components meet specifications.
  • Analyse production data to identify trends and address potential quality issues.
  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Embedded C firmware for microcontroller-based products, supporting prototype development, testing, manufacturing validation, and production improvements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and Master degree in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably with SMT processes.
  • Experience in Embedded C development
  • Hands-on experience with pick-and-place machines such as the Neoden K1830.
  • Strong understanding of PCB design and assembly principles.
  • Proficiency with design software (e.g., Altium ) and SMT machine programming.
  • Experience developing and debugging Embedded C applications for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
  • Understanding of embedded hardware interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, and GPIO.
  • Experience using embedded development and debugging tools (e.g., STM32CubeIDE, Keil, MPLAB, Segger J-Link, or similar).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience with IoT devices and low-power embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication technologies such as LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, LTE-M, BLE, or Wi‑Fi.
  • Experience developing production test firmware and manufacturing support tools.
